Ashley has been a teacher and producer of events and festivals for over 10 years. In this time she has had a close relationship to consent and explaining it to clients through her private orthopedic massage practice of 8 years. Joining the CCI team in late 2018 she has become dedicated to helping create the foundation of a solution oriented, community driven, organization. Ashley enjoys creating courses for CCI, participating in forums, and collaborating with like minded folk.

Consent Awareness Training
The Consent Awareness Training is designed to go over the basics of Consent Culture and is more of an educational tool. We have courses that are designed for other aspects but you will receive a basic understanding of these here.
Having a common understanding of consent terms is important to have the conversations necessary to grow a community. Consent affects all aspects of life and is not just a sexual conversation. Understanding consent in every day context as well as how it permeates throughout society will help build strong communities centered around effective communication.

Maddie Boom Boom is a Maryland-based artist who has been manipulating props and bouncing around performing since 2014. She strives to inspire everyone to play more and find ways to tell story through movement. Gina McGrath is an Asheville based artist, originally from Ohio, who has been practicing object manipulation since 2010 when she was initially intrigued by the possibility of deeper human connections with family. It started with the hoop, as many stories do, then rapidly moved on to poi and into static props as well as fans, and the rest is history. In 9 years of practice and production that intention still holds true.
